These funds are designated funds established in the name of the donor, or in honour of someone else, to help students receive education or training that might not otherwise be accessible. They provide a flexible way for donors to assist and encourage promising young students.

The donor may specify the criteria or the educational institution. A scholarship fund can be applied to an existing program at a qualified educational institution. Scholarships can be designated by institution, subject, geographical area, type of student, type of learning opportunities, etc.

The foundation works with the educational institution to ensure that the scholarship, bursary or award is being administered as the donor desired.
