Founders Fund
The Foundation Founders created a trust that would support operating costs so the foundation would be able to operate in perpetuity. Donations made to this fund support not only the Foundation itself, but through the foundation support, the many charitable organizations we support throughout Southwestern Alberta Donations of any kind are accepted to this fund.
The Lethbridge Community Foundation's goal is to use less than 1% of each endowment fund's value to cover the Foundation's cost of operations, including custodian and investment counsel fees. To help us meet this goal, donors may contribute directly to the operating costs of the Lethbridge Community Foundation or to the Founders Endowment Fund.
Like the rest of the funds, a portion of the income of these funds is used internally by the foundation, and the rest is reinvested. Applications are not accepted for these funds, as they are intended for the Foundation itself. The Foundation is a registered charity [CRA BIN # 11901 8349 RR0001]
