The  Buck Starts Here 2008 conference is a community volunteer effort and is only possible through the support of volunteers with the organizing committee: Lethbridge Community Foundation, VoicePrint, Lethbridge Community Network, Galt Museum and Archives, Lethbridge Association for Lifelong Learning, Managers of Voluntary Organizations of southern Alberta and Volunteer Lethbridge.
Voice print is a National non-profit service with the mandate to deliver a steady and timely flow of information that is essential to the decision-making needs of our audience.  "There's nothing in our society more important than telling the story of what's actually happening in the community. This is what a community is all about and the nature of the civilized part of our society. And so, if we don't communicate this information, we don't really have a community."  The Lethbridge Local Broadcast Center has a staff of dedicated volunteers that read daily news [Lethbridge Herald, Sunny South News, Lethbridge Southern Sun Times], as well as weekly updates on high school, college, university and professional sports stories & scores, arts, entertainment & lifestyle news, original works by regional writers, various local newsletters, and grocery specials.  Learn More...
There is a continually demonstrated need for public access to information technology and the Internet in Lethbridge. By forming a strong network that is coordinated and supported by an incorporated not-for-profit society in Lethbridge, the 32 public access sites will support the public in accessing essential government, health, education, and employment information. Information Technology [IT] training and education are offered to community residents through a combined partnership between the LCN, it's volunteers and the Lethbridge Public Library. Together we have created an Information Literacy Centre that provides training and skill development to individuals wishing to develop these essential skills and resources.  Learn More...

The Galt Museum & Archives Mission is to engage and educate our communities in the human history of southwestern Alberta by preserving and sharing collections, stories and memories that define our collective identity and guide our future.  The Galt Museum & Archives is a vibrant gathering place that meets historical, cultural and educational needs.  Learn More...
