The Buck Starts Here 2008
The Lethbridge Community Foundation and conference organizing committee were pleased to sponsor the 2nd annual Buck Starts Here : Funding opportunities for your organization, November 20th & 21st at the Lethbridge Hotel & Conference Center.
The Lethbridge Community Foundation's primary role is to support non-profit organizations in south west Alberta. In addition to providing grants, the foundation initiated the Buck Starts Here 2007 to connect non-profit organization with the funders and other support services. The conference is a volunteer effort of the community and is only possible through the support of volunteers with the organizing committee:
The goal of the Buck Starts Here 2008 conference and trade show was to provide community organization staff and volunteers an opportunity to speak to representatives of funding and support agencies; and to learn about current funding programs and strategies, philanthropic trends, event planning and more.
The Lethbridge Community Foundation would not have be able to offer this event without the help of a committed organizing committee. The Buck Starts Here concept was greatly expanded this year and it was a learning experience. Your feedback, input and advice is welcomed and will help us produce the Buck Starts Here 2009.
