Raymond Outdoor Aquatic Centre

There’s no better place to be in the summer than at the Raymond Aquatic Centre. Built last year, the aquatic centre is a wonderful facility for children of all ages and abilities. Mom Jill Williams, pictured right, and her son Blaise love the new pool, especially the tot area and new slide purchased with a grant from the Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta. Facility Manager Kinsey Holt, left, asked families what extras they needed at the new facility and then she applied for a Community Foundation grant for the new tot slide and shade structures. “The shaded areas were really needed and appreciated,” said Holt. “We couldn’t have added these features without the support of the Community Foundation.” The tot slide is a popular spot for young children, some like Blaise who are more timid about the water, but not about sliding.
