In a prairie setting near the edge of the village of Stirling sits a large red building and a sign that reads Galt Historic Railway Park. To celebrate its 40th Anniversary, the Lethbridge Community Foundation did something quite different, Its largest grant to a single organization, and first challenge grant, was presented to the Sir Alexander GaIt Museum. The GaIt received a $20,000 outright grant, with another $20,000 being presented within the next year, if the museum can raise a matching amount. Read more...
